Join the Missouri Business Leadership Network (MOBLN) and our partners at Ameren:  Ameren Military Veteran Employees (AMVE) and Ameren Network for Disabled Employee (ANDE) as we honor veterans and people with disabilities. An organization is strengthened as it recognizes the value added by people who have overcome challenges and honors them.  Our focus will be to:

• Energize and inspire you to see the possibilities from hiring people with disabilities and veterans.
• Help make the connection between people with disabilities and corporate America,
• Link with honoring veterans since we are so near Veterans’ Day.
• Understand that people with disabilities have much to give to our working environments.
• Find that connection that solidifies why Ameren supports not only the efforts of AMVE and ANDE, but also MOBLN.

 
Peggy Tedder, President, ANDE, Ameren Services, Diversity Associate, will share a model for disability awareness their team, ANDE, created around the well know game, Jeopardy.  The keynote speaker will be LTC (R) Don Koonce, President, AMVE, Work Week Manager, Callaway Plant, and a veteran.  Koonce will share a WWII story of overcoming obstacles from within a POW camp and a current contribution to that story from a young lady with disabilities that has energized thousands of Missouri young people.  This is a moving story that will open your perspective regarding possibilities when perseverance and determination are present in the presence of real obstacles.  Come prepared to learn more about those with physical and hidden disabilities, and how YOU can support them.
